Share what you
can spare. SpareShare — rescuing surplus food for Mumbai's communities.

SpareShare rescues surplus food from households and restaurants and shares it with communities that need a warm plate. And, soon, we'll share spare knowledge too — guided AI videos and quizzes for young people aged 12–18.

Surplus is offered

Extra rotis from a family dinner, a tray from a restaurant's close — nothing warm should be wasted.

Matched to a nearby need

Each offer is paired with a nearby community — a labour camp, a shelter, a family, a busy corner.

Collected by volunteers

A SpareShare volunteer picks up the meal and carries it, with care, along the shortest possible route.

Shared with the community

The meal reaches the table it was meant for — warm, dignified, and shared as it always should have been.

From the founder
“No good meal should end in the bin while someone, just streets away, sits down to nothing. SpareShare exists to make that walk.”

Shiven Wagle, Founder & Director

Spare Knowledge

Share what you know.
Spare knowledge for young minds.

The same "share the spare" idea applies to time, skills, and attention. We're planning guided AI videos and quizzes for underprivileged young people aged 12–18 — with mentors ready to answer questions along the way.

Get ready to make an impact

Guided AI videos

Short, friendly lessons that introduce AI without assuming prior experience.

Quizzes that build confidence

Simple checks that help learners see what they've understood and what to revisit.

Mentors who answer

Volunteers with time and knowledge to spare, paired with young people who ask.

Built with communities

Designed alongside schools, centres, and local organisations that already know the learners.

A quiet beginning

We need food and funds.
Right now, we're building with people.

SpareShare is currently going through formal registration. If the idea moves you, get ready to make an impact — we'll be in touch as soon as our first tables are set.
